I met Terry in the Horse & Groom pub around midday one Saturday afternoon in October and we had a couple of pints. Terry suggested we head into Croydon as he wanted to pick up some bits from the Whitgift Centre.
So, off to Croydon we went and did our bit of shopping passing the Thomas Cook which was next to the McDonalds.
There was a sign on the Thomas Cook window which just said "7 nights Tenerife - only £99". I joked with Terry how cheap it was as we ventured inside. We asked for details of the holiday and the lady said.. "well it's in Playa de la Americas but the flight is 6pm tonight - can you get to Gatwick for 4pm"
We had about an hour and a half to get back home, pack and make it to Gatwick, but we managed it and had such an amazing week.
